Wax-up and Mock-up: Trying on Your New Smile

Initially, the dentist uses temporary materials to create a model of the veneers, which is placed over your teeth without altering them. This allows you to evaluate the appearance, fit, and comfort of your future veneers before the final application. Once the shape of the new teeth and the overall look of your smile are approved, the actual work begins.

Teeth Preparation and Veneer Application

The dentist prepares the teeth by removing a minimal amount of enamel from their front surface. A digital scan is then taken to serve as the blueprint for your veneers. Based on this scan, a dental technician crafts the veneers from the chosen material. Once ready, the dentist uses a specialized dental adhesive to bond the veneers to your teeth.
